TPU Shoe Sole

Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) Materials

Thermoplastic Polyurethane, or TPU is the most versatile of the thermoplastic elastomers. They are a class of polyurethane plastics known for its high elasticity, transparency resistance to oil, grease and abrasion, as well as overall low-temperature performance. TPU is tougher than rubber and maintains good stability in tension and compression. It provides excellent mechanical properties, cut/tear and abrasion resistance and good chemical resistance. TPU is hygroscopic, transparent, amorphous and can be used in injection molding and extrusion.
