Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) is a strong synthetic resin produced by the polymerization of butanediol and terephthalic acid. PBT delivers strength, dimensional stability, weatherability, colorability and overall durability. It resists chemicals and solvents; has minimal shrinkage during forming; is mechanically strong and heat resistant; and can be treated with flame retardants, making it non-combustible.
PBT has a low melting point, excellent flow when molten and rapid crystallization, making it ideal for injection molding into solid parts.
