Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a hygroscopic, opaque, amorphous thermoplastic that is ideal for injection molding, blow molding and extrusion molding (for sheet/thermoforming). Its low melting temperature and low production cost make it ideal for many machining processes.

ABS can be modified with acrylonitrile to deliver chemical resistance; with butadiene to offer toughness and impact resistance; and with styrene to add rigidity and processability features.
