High-performance BioPolymers for flexible packaging and films. For over 30 years, Amodel® polyphthalamide (PPA) has been used in a wide range of demanding automotive, electronics, consumer, and industrial applications. This family of high-temperature polyamides retain their high strength and stiffness up to 280°C (536°F), even after thousands of hours at elevated temperatures and in high humidity and chemically aggressive environments. With a high melting point over 300°C (572°F), Amodel® PPA also enables electronic processes and assembly, including surface mount technology (SMT), IR reflow soldering, and overmolding of metals. Ixef® polyarylamide (PARA) is a family of high-performance polyamides that are well-suited for food contact applications requiring overall strength and a high-quality surface finish. The tensile strength of PARA polymers is similar to many cast metals and alloys at room temperature and these plastics feature low moisture absorption to promote excellent dimensional stability. Omnix® HPPA is a family of high-performance polyamides that bridge the cost-performance gap between lower performing PA66 and higher performing polyphthalamide, such as Amodel® PPA.This material has higher heat resistance and dimensional stability than PA66 and is suitable for food contact applications such as appliance handle housings and other structural components. Ryton® polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) is a semi-crystalline, high-heat polymer that offers exceptional dimensional stability for precision-molded components needing to withstand prolonged, high-temperature service. It is inherently flame retardant and offers chemical resistance comparable to PEEK and fluoropolymers.
