Nexeo Plastics and Stora Enso Sign Agreement to Distribute Renewable Wood-fibre Biocomposites in Europe

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, February 15, 2022 – Nexeo Plastics, a leading global thermoplastics resin distributor, has announced an agreement with Stora Enso to distribute their renewable Biocomposites by Stora Enso throughout Europe*. The agreement also includes specific grades for 3D printing.

Priced similar to polypropylene and polystyrene, Biocomposites by Stora Enso can be used as renewable alternatives to fossil-based plastics in numerous applications and end products, including furniture, storage, consumer goods, food contact plastic, and industrial components.

Biocomposites can be reprocessed, have high strength and stiffness and can be recycled. In addition, Biocomposites by Stora Enso meet certification requirements compatible with multiple end-markets:

• Food contact Applications EU10/2011, GB4806.6-2016
• Production Approved according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
